Overview

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead, the Associate Talent Acquisition Partner works with Talent Acquisition Partners to understand entry level and clerical talent requirements. The position leads and manages entry level and clerical attraction activities through advertising, sourcing, and other related activities.

 

The Associate is responsible for full cycle recruitment efforts including attracting, assessing, and hiring candidates to fill high volume vacancies and partners with hiring leaders to recruit and hire both internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide internal talent attraction support to the Talent Acquisition Partners for entry level positions.
  • Provide external talent attraction support to the Talent Acquisition Partners for entry level, clerical, and student positions.
  • Manage external talent communities to support ongoing requirements.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Partners to identify top external talent for open requisitions.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the Talent Acquisition Partners and contributes to meeting the hiring goals of the organization.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients with high volume recruitment needs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and contributes to enhancing knowledge and ability regarding staffing practices corporately.
  • Ensure a fair, consistent, efficient, and effective hiring process is followed.
  • Partner effectively with peers and cross-functional partners to deliver exceptional service (Talent Acquisition Partners, Compensation, Total Rewards & HR Administration, HR Business Partners). 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Degree or diploma in business, commerce, human resource management or another related field.

Experience:

  • Three years related experience in talent acquisition and recruitment and selection.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Build positive working relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Source and select future talent, including leveraging multiple talent attraction channels.
  • Proficiency with related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ATS, HRMS), and web recruitment tools, including social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).
  • Manage multiple urgent tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Work independently and as a team member.
  • Maintain absolute discretion and maturity in handling sensitive/confidential data.
