Overview

As the Strategy Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for generating clear corporate priorities, determining divisional actions to achieve corporate goals, and ensuring cross-functional alignment by coordinating the working relationship between the business and the Project Management Office (PMO), as well as other business units, executive sponsors, internal stakeholders, and external vendors. You will work closely with members of the PMO, product management, and other delivery teams on transforming business operations through the successful execution of strategic corporate initiatives and projects.

The Strategy Portfolio Manager leverages a collaborative approach to connect the dots between individual business unit goals and corporate strategic and value assurance goals. You will act as a strategic advisor to the business and actively participate in strategic planning activities alongside leaders. The position enables the end-to-end strategy to execution cycle by approaching this internal service with a customer-centric and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Shape strategy & assess opportunities — connect new ideas to our corporate priorities and roadmap commitments.
  • Drive execution, governance & reporting — ensure initiatives are well-structured, resourced, monitored, and positioned for success across functions.
  • Tell the story with clarity — distill complex information into compelling presentations and facilitate engaging sessions with executives, functional leaders, and teams at all levels.
  • Facilitate collaboration — lead meetings and workshops that drive decision-making, accountability, and momentum.
  • See the big picture — understand the cumulative impact of decisions across the organization and guide leaders toward the best path forward.
  • Plan across horizons — experience with enterprise-level planning of functional and technical roadmaps is an asset. You can connect enterprise strategy to divisional and functional goals, showing clearly what matters now, next, and later.
  • Prioritize with discipline — experience with prioritization methodologies, business case development, and effort/impact estimation is an asset. From initial high-level “t-shirt sizing” to in-depth estimation as more details emerge, you bring best practices that ensure focus on the work that delivers the greatest value.
