Responsibilities

As a Professional Intern in our Road Safety department, you will support various projects and day-to-day tasks aimed at improving road safety data, analysis, and processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Documenting findings and providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Providing operational support for road safety programs.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled in at least a four-year program (diploma or degree) at a recognized university or college in Manitoba with a focus in Business, Public Administration, Data Science, Economics, or Statistics
  • Be a recent or current graduate (i.e. must have graduated at the end of 2024 or graduating in 2025).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with familiarity in data analysis and data cleaning.
  • Knowledge of R or PowerBI, and understanding of data quality principles.
  • Oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey moderately complex information concisely.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word, with the ability to analyze moderately complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques is an asset.
  • Awareness of road safety issues in Manitoba is an asset.
