  • Overview

    As the Injury Management Coordinator, you will be the lead for a team of case managers. In this role, you will provide guidance, oversee injury claims and ensure your managers efficiently assist claimants with their claim finances, their recovery and their return-to-work progress.


    • Support your team in decision-making, information-sharing and identifying opportunities for improvement.
    • Create and encourage an environment of ownership and accountability for individual and department outcomes.
    • Encourage communication within your team and with other departments. You will need to ensure knowledge and best practice sharing is taking place.
    • Coach your team on all aspects of handling claim files, monitor key performance indicators and conduct performance reviews, work authorizations and file reviews.

    Education & Experience


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as psychology, social work, medical rehabilitation (athletic, occupational, or physical therapy, or kinesiology).


    • General degree.
    • Case Management certificate such as:
      • Rehabilitation Case Management Certificate.
      • Rehabilitation Benefit Administration Certificate.
      • Disability Management Practitioner Certificate.


    • National Institute of Disability Management and Research (NIDMAR) designation.
    • Commitment to pursue leadership development training.


    • Seven years of case management or adjusting experience, with at least two years in a Senior Case Manager capacity.
    • Experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity is an asset.

    • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction and exercise initiative.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others through mentoring and coaching.
    • Proven ability to mediate, negotiate and think strategically.
